Triple Letter
Triples the letter value. A Q here = 30 points! Only 12 on the board.
Double Word
Doubles your entire word score. The center star is a DW square.
Triple Word
Triples your word score! Only 8 on the board โ in the corners and edges.
Example: Maximum Score Play
Word: QUIZZIFY (if it were valid!)
Strategy: Place Q on TL (30 pts) + Z on TL (30 pts) + hit TW = massive score

Use Hook Words
Add a letter to existing words to score twice. Add S to QUIZ for QUIZS? No โ but add A to MAZE for AMAZE, scoring both words!
Play Parallel Words
Place words parallel to existing ones, creating multiple 2-letter words. You score for every word formed โ often 30+ points from short plays!
Control the Board
Don't open Triple Word squares for your opponent. Play defensively when ahead, aggressively when behind.
